Menu bar dashboard

The Mac desktop app adds a Hansard item to the menu bar. It opens a compact dashboard that follows the system’s light or dark appearance. Select a row to open its page in the main window.

macOS menu bar → Hansard

Use the switcher in the dashboard header to choose one module:

Module What it shows
Agents Working, waiting, and idle agents, with conversations that need attention.
Memory Memory held by agents and their child processes, grouped by agent and checkout, and what pausing idle agents could free.
Usage Recorded account limits and recent usage.
Accounts Account connections, routing, and sign-ins that need attention.
Imports Watcher state, import activity, and queued or failed imports.

Left and right arrow keys move between modules. Escape closes the switcher, then the dashboard. The dashboard remembers the last module. On its first opening, it starts with a module that needs attention.

Account names match Accounts in the main window. When an account has no custom name, its email identifies it, with the organization or team shown separately. Memory totals cover agent processes, not the computer’s total RAM.

A dot on the menu bar icon marks an agent waiting for approval or a reply, an approval waiting in Review, a stopped watcher, a failed import, or memory pressure. Select the item to inspect the affected module, then select its row to open the relevant page.

Pause opens the Activity overview in Running and asks before pausing agents idle for over an hour. The paused-agents row opens that page too. Resume each agent there individually. The dashboard never resumes every paused agent together.

The dashboard opens with the last values it showed, then updates each module as its data arrives. It refreshes detailed data only while open. The icon’s attention indicator reads a small summary at most once a minute.

If a module cannot read its source, its unavailable section disappears until the next successful read. Open the main page for detailed status and errors.
